Note on the indoor climate

How a brine-based geothermal heating system with underfloor heating works

The brine-based geothermal heating system uses the energy stored in the ground to heat and cool the building. The heat or cooling is distributed evenly throughout the rooms via underfloor heating. Due to the large thermal mass of the floor, this system operates particularly energy-efficiently and ensures a comfortable, consistent indoor climate.

Underfloor heating, however, reacts much more slowly than conventional radiators. Changes in room temperature therefore do not occur immediately, but usually only after several hours, depending on the building's construction and the temperature difference. A noticeable change often occurs after about 6 to 12 hours, and complete adjustment of the room temperature can take up to 24 hours. It is therefore advisable to operate the system continuously and avoid frequent, short-term changes to the temperature settings.

Furthermore, our building is a low-energy house with controlled mechanical ventilation. The rooms and bathrooms are continuously ventilated, even with the windows closed. This ensures a pleasant and healthy indoor climate at all times, without the need to leave the windows permanently open.
